Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy

With 1 in 4 people in the UK each year succumbing to some sort of mental health issue, finding the right circle of support is vital, particularly in a fast-paced environment.

Less visible than a physical ailment, psychological health can be silently corroded due to expectations and demands for high performance, our 'always on' culture, and addiction to 'smart' devices.

CBT Hypnotherapy gives you the space to align your mind with your body.  You will learn to connect your head with your heart and discover who you are, so you can be your calmest, happiest, healthiest self.

Well-respected for its effectiveness in treating a number of psychological and emotional issues, CBT is one of the few empirically-supported treatments of psychotherapy.  When used as an adjunct to hypnosis, it is an especially powerful tool, almost doubling treatment success.  This is primarily because therapy focuses on raising your awareness of negative cognitions (thoughts), and replacing these with positive ones, thereby modifying your internal dialogue.  

CBT is fast and effective because it heightens awareness of thought patterns, and deals with challenges in the "here and now", rather than spending time delving into the past.

In contrast to traditional counselling and psychotherapy, you will learn coping skills from a solution-focused and holistic perspective, taking into account your personality, as well as your individual circumstances.


Hypnosis

Hypnosis is a state of deep relaxation,  a perfect antidote to the issues that come with 21st century living.  Like meditation, it is a state of focused attention.  During this state, positive affirmations are suggested which the client consciously chooses to accept, and which take root subconsciously. 

Often referred to as a "state of heightened suggestibility", it supports you in becoming more self-aware, by acknowledging limiting beliefs and re-programming your internal self-talk.

It is a powerful state which we enter in and out of daily, and is commonly referred to as the “trance” state. 

Traditional hypnosis credits the “trance” state with the power to calm the conscious mind, which allows the subconscious mind to be more receptive.  Therefore, a lot of emphasis is placed on “trance” and the deepening of “trance”. 

While Hypnosis is powerful on its own for cultivating tremendous serenity, as well as new thoughts, beliefs and behaviour, combined with Cognitive-Behavioural techniques, it has been found to be doubly effective, and time-efficient.


Medical Profession Recognition

The American Medical Association and the National Institute of Clinical Excellence both recognise hypnotherapy as a form of medical treatment.  Furthermore, since 1955, the British Medical Association has recognised hypnotherapy as a form of treatment for the following:
